N.C.UPSHS Video Tour - Nzh'o Na'ch'idle'ee Medical Center (Dental)
The 65,000 square foot Nzh'o Na'ch'idle'ee Medical Center serves a population of about 3,000 people on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation in northern New Mexico. Opened in 2004 outside the town of Dulce, 3 hours north of Albuquerque, it is a fully modern medical center that offers a range of services including dentistry, optometry, urgent care and x-ray, laboratory, audiology, physical therapy, behavioral health, and a pharmacy.
The dental clinic at the Jicarilla Healthcare Facility operates with the most advanced dental equipment, notably Kodak digital radiology both at the chair and with a PANOREX unit, and has a total of nine operatories, six open and three private. The latter serve as operatories for all pediatric dentistry cases and more complex oral surgery. The facility offers a wide range of services including routine exams and cleanings, fillings, oral surgery, and endodontics. Restorative dental care is offered onsite with dental appliances manufactured at a lab in Albuquerque and returned to the Jicarilla dental department within 1 to 2 weeks. The clinic sees 60 patients each week through an appointment-based system, with dental emergencies seen on a regular basis.

The cost of dental implants in this case was more affordable than a dental bridge because of the need to place a dental bridge on numerous front teeth. The dental problems creates teeth problems which makes for a more cheap dental implants solution. If you want permanent teeth, sometimes the cost of dental implants is worth it from an economic and future teeth problems point of view.
